Norwegian Beauty

This little jewel of a home in Norway is not full of expensive furnishings or fancy decor but still manages to be creative and inspiring. I think adding reflection in a home is so important and they do this so well with all of the lovely glass chandeliers. The touches of grey throughout the home in the couches, the wording on the furniture and the throw on the bed add a wonderful contrast in every room and provide continuity as well.

Enjoy!

White Christmas

Just like you, I am trying to decide how I will decorate my home for the holiday season. I usually do a white rose tree for Christmas but this year I would like a change. I have been doing my research and there are so many great photos that inspire me I thought I would share a few with you. I think it will be red and white this year for me. How are you decorating for the holidays this year?

Enjoy!

Humour in the House

This is such a fun and cheeky home! So eclectic with fun pops of color and those little messages they have put around the house...a good reminder not to take life too seriously! You gotta love those lockers as well! So cute for an entry..

Enjoy!

Vintage Dream

I have so many blogs I visit regularly and they vary so much, going from modern Swedish blogs to French country blogs by wonderful bloggers in the US. (see my list on the first page to visit other blogs I love) One blog I have really admired is lille vildand at lillevildand.blogspot.no. The wonderful home of Jannicke, that is featured in most of the posts is so beautiful and the use of white throughout is so well done!  Take a look at this photos and go and take a look at this blog...

Inspiration in White - Mirrors

There are two items in home decor that I go weak in the knees for and one is chandeliers and the other is mirrors. I have many of both in my home and am always on the lookout for more to add to my collection. Here are just a few that I would love...and yes there is a theme going on here...

Fresh and Modern

A gorgeous, simple and modern flat that still manages to feel warm and welcoming. I love the terrace off of the kitchen!

Shabby Chic

I have loved Shabby Chic for many years and feel it got a bad rap as outdated, fluffy and expensive. I think this is a look anyone can do in their home and mixed with barn style, industrial, modern or traditional it can look updated and fresh. Rachel Ashwell is of course the Queen of Shabby Chic and I have some wonderful shots today from her website below!

Enjoy!

Ikea Style

Ikea is the King of all that we love in Scandinavian design, and at a price that is affordable for many people (no I don't work for Ikea!). I came across a website called Ikea Family Live and it shows how families have put together their homes with product from Ikea.

This couple has 4 small children and live in an all white house so it is true that living in white, even with kids, can be easy! (I know, I lived in white with a young family. Slipcovers are key!). I love this style of home with clean lines and the consistent use of white throughout all the rooms.

How do you live with white in your home?

Enjoy,

Trudy
