I am in love with the gorgeous blog of stylist/photographer Line Kay of Vintagepiken. Her home is styled to perfection and her photographs are so beautiful! Really I could look at her blog over and over. It is peaceful and thoughtful, creative and inspired..just like her home. Vintage White Home

This is the gorgeous vintage home of Vanessa Pleasants the blogger at The Vintage Whites . It really is a wonderful space filled with worked wood and vintage items collected over time. Pretty lights in the kitchen and dining room add a warm touch to the rooms and that green is the perfect shade! Love the antique mantel in the living room paired with the vintage couch. Super cute home....

Swedish Christmas

In this 100 year old Swedish home rustic meets refined Scandinavian style. The kitchen is my favourite room for sure with the wall of subway tile and double hanging lamp. Sheepskin covered rattan chairs create a cozy space in the dining room. Simple Christmas trees and a bit of red and white add a pretty touch of the holiday season. Lovely home dressed for the holidays!

Knit One, Pearl Two

Knitting is such a big trend right now and knitted items are really all over in home accessories and fashion. Big chunky knits looks so great in a throw or stool cover and now you can find rugs as well. So I was working on a ceramic project last week and decided to add a bit of textured wool to the piece. I went and bought some wool and when I got home I decided to finger knit the wool into a long tube. I went on line to find out how to do it..... So easy! In a short time I had created a long chunky tube of wool that I could easily have turned into a scarf....and it was fun. Who new knitting could be so fun and so easy? Any knitters out there?

Pins of the Week: Christmas

My first Christmas post of the year with a few ideas for decorating the mantle and the tree. No I have not put up my tree yet and actually I have not done much thinking about it beyond these few pictures. I realized I had better get at it when I passed through Target the other day to pick up a couple of things and saw that the Christmas lights that I liked were out of stock! Now I am on the move to get ideas and I love what I see here. Isn't that a lovely simple table for Christmas. So Scandinavian in feeling...actually all the photos have a rather similar simple yet cozy feeling to them....check out my Christmas pins here on Pinterest.

Modern Greenwich Village Home

This is the Greenwich Village home of designing Ariel Ashe featured in Domino Magazine. Such a pretty modern home but with many of the original architectural elements that give it a bit of the old world feel. Nice pops of red here and there against a great black and white base. Love the gallery wall and the way she has done the curtains in the living room emphasising the high ceilings.

Pins of the Week: Black and Gold

I am so into black kitchens, bathrooms and just about everything else including pottery. Not sure how someone that loves white so much could suddenly be so intrigued by all the dark decor out there but I am! I also love black when it is paired with white and when it is paired with gold. A touch of luxury to be sure.

Chic All-in-One Bathroom

You know the dream we all have of taking a rather large room in your house and turning it into the ultimate bathroom? Well this is what I imagine it could look like....subway tiles on all the walls, amazing black and white tiles on the floor. Love the shower space that looks like a rather large closet and of course there is the reading, library, shelving space in the corner. Certainly not traditional in any way, this is a wonderful makeover that has everything you could need. My only question would be.... why only one sink?

White on White

Oh this is one of those super houses I come across that I just love. Anyone that can do white on white this well is a star for me. Line Kay, who is a stylist and photographer as well as the owner of this home, has such good taste. (you must check out her Instagram ....swoon!) A bit of natural wood and accessories in wood tones break up the white but keep the right mood at the same time. The white wood floors are such a favourite!
