A sneak peak for you!
A beautiful Swedish apartment with white and dark tones mixed throughout. The colours inside the apartment look like they reflect somewhat the brick tones in the apartment seen outside the window..very rich and warm. A charming kids room with pastel pompoms and check out the number of lamps used in the rooms. Lovely styling..

This brownstone featured in The New York Times is one of many in the area consistently used for photo shoots, commercials and ads....and you can see why! What a beauty! The high ceilings, moldings and incredible floors are just a few of the original details that make this space so desirable. The modern kitchen set against the high windows and the ceiling with that superb medallion....I will be looking out for this beauty in my design magazines!!

Happy New Year all! I hope this holiday season was a special one for all of you. I have to say that I am happy to see 2014 go and look forward to a fresh new year. It feels like a blank slate where we can create anything we want doesn't it!
One of the changes coming up very soon on the blog is a total redesign of my site! I have been working on it for some time and really look forward to launching it soon so stay tuned!

Benches (or couches) really finish the look of a room. I would love to have a bench at the end of my bed but you do need a fair size room to get this look. Some of these gorgeous benches would fit in a smaller space like the wooden one in the first photo. I love how they styled the bench in this picture but it would have looked equally good without anything on it at all. I love the couch designer Christine Dovey added to the end of the bed in the second photo. The entire room is beautifully done.

I am in love with the gorgeous blog of stylist/photographer Line Kay of Vintagepiken. Her home is styled to perfection and her photographs are so beautiful! Really I could look at her blog over and over. It is peaceful and thoughtful, creative and inspired..just like her home. This is the gorgeous vintage home of Vanessa Pleasants the blogger at The Vintage Whites . It really is a wonderful space filled with worked wood and vintage items collected over time. Pretty lights in the kitchen and dining room add a warm touch to the rooms and that green is the perfect shade! Love the antique mantel in the living room paired with the vintage couch. Super cute home....

Love these holiday photos of a wonderful home featured in Femina Magazine. Go and check out the rest of the home as it is really beautiful. It is so great to see two tables used differently in the same small space. Love the grouping of brass candles on the table with the bench on one side. Very simple yet stunning!

Well Christmas is in just a few days but a fun DIY you could do with the family is make a pom-pom garland or wreath. Pom-poms are so easy to make and I love the way they look in a garland...super cute. You just need some good wool a pair of scissors and your fingers and away you go. Look at all of the great ways to use pom-poms in your holiday decor. Actually I think they would be cute all year long! Black is everywhere in home decor these days and of course fashion as always. I am really loving the black I am seeing in home decor and ceramics.
