Interiors: Vintage White

This home is full of vintage treasures and comfortable, shabby beauty...all the things we need in a super cozy home. The Pottery Barn chairs in the living room are perfect for relaxing in front of the fire. I love the mix of wood with the dining room table, chairs, bench as well as the beautiful bowl in the center....and of course the entry is a beauty! So well styled...

Dreamy Decor in the South of France

How could I not love this house? First of all it is situated in the town of Uzège in Saint-Quentin-la-Pottery. This just happens to be in the South of France and I love the south and I hope to spend most of my later years in any small village there. Secondly, this town is known for its many potters (thus the name) and I, if you are not aware, am a potter! ( I need to visit this village on my next trip!)

Of course there are other reasons to love this house mostly to do with the fantastic decor. The renovation of the home began with the new owners, a young couple with one small child at the time, hiring local workers to do the finishing. Unhappy with the quality of work they decided to dive in and do it themselves, becoming experts in plastering, decor and design. I think they did a great job and really like the use of stone throughout the home. I also find the lettering above the counter in the kitchen very sweet and gives it character and coziness. What do you like best in this home?

Enjoy!

Beautiful home in Milan with amazing skylights and floor to ceiling windows that reflect white washed wood ceilings and floors. The beautiful doors in the living area lead to a large terrace outside that is really a wonderful place for family or entertaining. Things I am loving: Shots of colour in the Smeg  fridge and bright books and the tulip table and chairs in the dining room. Also loving the sink on the wooden shelf in the bathroom! Isn't that perfect for a smaller space...

Enjoy!

Interiors: Lotta Agaton

This is the home of the wonderful Swedish stylist and blogger Lotta Agaton. She clearly has the most amazing personal style and her home reflects that completely. It is incredibly simple but each piece is so interesting within the space...black and white and a mix of textures and materials. Love it!

Go and see her new website by the way. So inspiring!!

Interiors: Brooklyn Loft

This loft in the center of Brooklyn was once an old rundown factory but this couple could easily see the potential through the dust and rugged finishing. They incorporated their furniture from Sweden and London mixing with buys from New York. The result is very fun, clean and eclectic set against white walls and the background of the city. Well done!

Interiors: White Rooms

The gorgeous home (from the latest issue of Est Magazine) of architect and designer Eva van Dongen and Freek Tromp, was once inhabited by two notorious doyennes of the red light district in Amsterdam. No signs of its history is evident in these beautiful and spare rooms filled with light. White furnishings and walls contrast the wide planked dark floors to great effect. What a lovely peaceful space for this young family..

Inspiring Workspaces

I am always finding great workspaces that inspire me and I have decided to do a little office refurbishing in my own space. My office is in my home and even though it is very pretty there is way too much furniture going on in there. I am going to have to redo the room to be more efficient and organized. I have files in boxes, samples laid out on the bed in the room (a tempting place to have a nap on long days) and fabric in plastic bags.

I want to do one wall as an inspiration board. I have seen a few good ideas of how to do this simply and easily (check out the idea of creating borders with removable tape). I also want a more beautiful and stylish chair than I have currently and two gorgeous hanging pendant lamps above the desk. I have two barn lamps that I think will look really great.

I have shown you a few offices before (here) but below are a few new photos that I love and that are sure to give me the inspiration I need to get started!

Enjoy!

Cool in the Hamptons

Two years ago I spent a week in Southampton and I loved it. Our little hotel was not far from the beach and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. The waves, the homes along the beach, the sand and the open space was amazing. The town was lovely and the people so kind and easy going! I was dying to see the inside of so many homes as they all looked wonderful as does this home. Built in the "saltbox" style and right on the water this house mixes soft ocean blues with white to create a gorgeous beachy atmosphere..

Danish Style

This cool loft in Copenhagen really sums up the Danish style for me. Clean lines, natural materials, modern but still with a warmth that comes through the textures used throughout the loft. Really gorgeous..

Loving these: Cloches

My house is filled with different glass domes or cloche as we say in French and I really have a lot of fun with them. I put all sorts of things under them from shells to plants and old books and nests.

This one below is from the table in the shop this past month and I had filled it with vintage silver. I set the table with my ceramics as well.

Beautifully done with the ink and quill.

Pretty with some sheet music rolled inside..

This from Atelier de Campagne. Go visit their Facebook page for great ideas..

I am considering buying some for the shop with some pretty wood or mercury glass stands like these below. What do you think?....Isn't the jewellery gorgeous as well??

Enjoy!
