Brooklyn Brownstone

This brownstone featured in The New York Times is one of many in the area consistently used for photo shoots, commercials and ads....and you can see why! What a beauty! The high ceilings, moldings and incredible floors are just a few of the original details that make this space so desirable. The modern kitchen set against the high windows and the ceiling with that superb medallion....I will be looking out for this beauty in my design magazines!!

Small Space, Big Design

There is nothing in this modern house but pure design...no furniture, no accessories to talk about but I find it incredibly beautiful. The way it is built, how the light is allowed into the space and the simplicity of the design make this home by Japanese architect Kenjo Ido really something to see. I love how the walls have space in between them to allow the light from the roof top terrace to flow through the house and with the slanted walls and openings, create beautiful light patterns throughout the home. The stairs are another great feature as is the concrete kitchen island and bathroom with a sunken tub....wow!

Architect and Photographer: Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen

Wonderful photos of this home in Elle Decor this month taken by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen who is an architect and photographer. Beautifully done and the interiors on the website of Norm Architects are really amazing. All in these white and pale tones similar to this house below. Oh, the clean lines and wonderful simplicity that is Scandinavian design....I even see a few Ikea touches here and there in some of the homes he has done. Things I love in this home....the concrete floors, copper details and the entry tile! Very talented...

Enjoy!
