I love painted furniture and I have many pieces in my home. Vintage furniture painted in a rustic way with chalk paint or milk paint are my favourites. I like how over time the lightly sanded parts become more pronounced and the intentional wear and tear sanded into the piece becomes real. I have done some of the painting myself and have had a few pieces done for me.

Of course the Queen of painted furniture is Miss Mustard Seed's, Marion Parsons. She is so talented and always does an amazing job on the pieces she hunts down at tag sales and flea markets. Pretty house in London with pale cream walls against dark rich floors making a wonderful statement. This house from Light Locations has got beautiful paneling throughout that really gives it great texture.

What is so good with this home is the variety of whites and greys. I love mixing whites in my home so there is a tone on tone feeling. This is the best thing to do when you have a mostly all white home and what makes it look so interesting. The outdoor and indoor lighting will also add shadows and change the way the light looks at different times of day.....my walls can go from white to pale yellow depending on the day light. So beautiful....
